In the beginning was an empty page. The writer was thinking, pondering, re-thinking, typing, thinking, meditating, erasing, adding, forming sentences giving expression to what was within him.
The aim of this blog is to be a journal where I write down what is within me, to give expression to my thoughts. Thoughts about life, meaning of life, origin and destination. Where do we come from, where do we go? Tell me if you know!
I have always been intrigued by the deeper realities of life. When I was around twenty years old I turned to religion, and found many answers in the person and life of Jesus Christ. However, wíth the answers many new questions arose, and so a seemingly endless journey of discovery started!
Today the search continues. I decided it may be good to start writing some things down. Who knows where it leads to and who knows somebody other than myself will benefit from these scribblings.
Although the Scriptures will be used frequently in my writings, since they have played a major role in my life and search, my aim is never to be doctrinal, dogmatic or absolute and finite in my conclusions. Just read and take what you need!
In all of this I have a deep suspicion that wherever the journey of life leads me, whatever may happen, that the direction and goal is upward and beyond the temporal, hence the title of the blog: ‘Spiritual Increase’.
